The 2017 December Newsletter can be found here.

Thanks to Nel Ward, our newsletter editor for her excellent work in preparing the newsletter.

We paused on December 1st to recognize World AIDS Day–to love and honor those who have been lost in this international virus exposure–and to pledge ourselves to continue working for increased education, testing, and treatment–until it’s no longer needed!

This week at the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners meeting, World AIDS Day was proclaimed by the BOC and they heard information about a new HIV/AIDS prevention grant that will soon be active in the county. The County Health Department will be working with the Siletz Tribe and with PFLAG and other community organizations to reach the most vulnerable groups.

Everyone is warmly invited to our Annual Holiday Dessert Potluck –it’s like a cookie exchange–only better. Bring a dessert and take home a variety of treats. It will be on Wednesday, December 14th, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Newport–at the intersection of 9th St. and Hurbert St.

The 2017 November Newsletter can be found here.

Thanks to our newsletter editor Nel Ward! We again bring you national and world LGBTQ news as well as reports of our own very busy Oregon Central Coast PFLAG chapter.

We invite you to our Nov. 8 meeting where the focus will be Transgender Awareness and Transgender Day of Remembrance. Bring your questions, an open mind, and heart while local transgender people and their families share their stories.
